30TH CELEBRATION

Enjoy the hype. Skip the panic.

Colorful artwork celebrating a 30th anniversary

The 30th Anniversary set is a huge moment for Pokémon collectors. That does not mean every inflated price is a good buy.

The official 30th Celebration set is packed with nostalgia, new illustration rares, and 30 different Pikachu rares. That excitement is real. Pokémon’s official set page is the best place to see what is actually in it.

My take: give it room to breathe

When everyone is trying to grab an Elite Trainer Box at once, prices can move faster than the actual supply picture. Paying far above retail because of fear of missing out can turn a fun rip into a frustrating purchase.

Nobody can promise where prices go. This is not financial advice—just a collector’s reminder that patience is also a strategy.

If you want to open packs, buy what fits your budget and enjoy it. If you are buying because you feel pressured, give it a few weeks. Watch restocks, compare prices, and do not let a loud market make the decision for you.

When you pull something special, use the price checker to verify the exact card and keep a record in your collection.
